Our Journey

Blue Mountain Woodworking began in the quaint pristine Blue Mountain region of eastern Pennsylvania in September of 1978. Richard L. Knecht founded the family run company with the basic principles of building and delivering the highest quality handmade and finished custom cabinetry to his customers at an affordable price. His wife Deb handled the office work along with sales and design.

The business grew steadily and by late 1985 we had outgrown our rural shop outside of Kunkletown, PA. and moved to a larger facility in the center of town. The business grew at a very nice pace and in 1995 we relocated again to our current location just outside of Bath, PA. in beautiful Moore Township. During the transition to the new building but never to the take place of our skilled craftspeople, we acquired new technology to help maintain and achieve an even higher quality standard.

1995 marked another milestone in the family business as our current president Kyle R. Knecht joined the team part-time during summer vacation. Kyle learned the business from his father starting in the shop and gradually gaining the skill set of all facets of cabinet making and that also included going out on our custom kitchen and bathroom installations. He joined the company full time upon graduation. His wife Heather came onboard in 2000 working with Deb in the office learning application and design. She is currently our head designer.

We cordially invite you to visit our newly remodeled 3000 square foot showroom located at 2413 Community Drive, Bath, PA. 18014.
